Pierre Post eight Baseball beat Brookings 8-6 Saturday behind both the bat and the arm of Quinn Reimers.

Reimers racked up three RBIs on four hits for Pierre Post eight Baseball. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the first, third, and twelfth innings.

Reimers worked out of 13 tricky spots for Pierre Post eight Baseball. He pitched 3 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs on two hits. Reimers faced his most difficult moment in the twelfth inning.

The game was back-and-forth heading into the twelfth, with five lead changes.

Pierre Post eight Baseball pulled out the win thanks to a strong twelfth inning. An error scored Reimers and gave Pierre Post eight Baseball the lead for good.

Garret Jeppesen took the loss for Brookings. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.

Pierre Post eight Baseball jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Reimers singled, scoring Landon Badger after a triple by Badger got things started.

Brookings quickly matched Pierre Post eight Baseball's strong inning with a one-run inning of its own in the first. Brookings scored on an RBI double by Seth Fraser.

Pierre Post eight Baseball pushed across two runs in both the fourth inning and the twelfth. In the fourth, Pierre Post eight Baseball scored on an RBI double by Justin Berheim, bringing home Nick Rabern.

Post 8 took a 6 to 1 lead into the 7th, a double, a single, a bean ball and 4 walks later and the inning ended with the game tied 6-6. Brookings would not score again in the game and in the top of the 12th inning Post 8 scored 2 runs and after a scoreless bottom the 12 Post 8 emerged with the victory 8-6. That’s not to say Brookings never threatened, like in the bottom of the 9th Brookings had the bases loaded with one out. That threat ended when Trey, Playing 2nd at the time, started a 4-6-3 double play. It was a Great Win
